Lisbon HQ
Where visas, companies, taxes and bank accounts are handled. Clients can come in person or work with us fully remotely.
SHIJIA Portugal was registered in Lisbon in 2023. We are not a high-volume visa reseller — we run an office on Avenida da Liberdade with our own legal team and dedicated client managers, and most of our clients live in Portugal long-term, run companies here, or hold property here.
Our office on Avenida da Liberdade keeps in-person and government-side work close at hand.
Our founding team has lived, applied for visas, set up companies and held property in Portugal for several years. We've seen too many avoidable detours — clients filing incomplete papers, families paying multiple intermediaries with nobody actually owning the outcome, and homeowners with no idea how to handle their NIF, social security or annual filings after the visa was granted.
In spring 2023, we registered SHIJIA in Lisbon. The aim was simple — bring together work that was scattered across separate advisors, law firms and accountants into one clearly visible service track, with a long-term local team accountable for a long-term client journey.
Two years on, we have grown from visa-and-arrival services into corporate compliance and property management. SHIJIA today is no longer just a visa firm — we're closer to a local representative for our clients in Portugal, accompanying them through almost every key step that follows.
Portugal offers clear residency pathways, a relatively friendly tax structure, a stable society and family-oriented public services. Every part of our practice is built on top of that foundation.
Before clients invest meaningful time and money, we make sure the direction is right. We'd rather use a free assessment to turn down the wrong route than sign the wrong engagement.
A visa is just the start. Tax, companies, property, renewals and family — these are the parts that genuinely need long-term care.
Scope is fixed in the formal contract. Every partner law firm, accounting firm, bank or government channel we work with is properly licensed. We don't take part in false filings.
Our in-house legal team and dedicated client managers handle every matter directly — engagements, AIMA appointments, registry liaison and tax filings. One accountable team, not a chain of brokers.
The numbers above are internal statistics for reference only. We make no guarantees on success rates; outcomes follow the official decisions of the Portuguese authorities and the formal contract.
The founding team set up an office on Avenida da Liberdade and brought a small in-house legal team on board; the first D7 and D8 cases were filed shortly after.
Long-term partnerships with several Lisbon law firms, certified accountants and bank relationship managers brought visa, tax-ID and bank-opening processes into a stable rhythm.
Driven by client demand, we expanded into corporate services — incorporation, monthly bookkeeping, IVA / IRC filings, manager and bylaw changes — our second core practice area.
For overseas owners with property in Portugal, we introduced full management, periodic inspections, tenant liaison and annual tax support — our third core practice area.
We brought all three areas under the SHIJIA brand — individual relocation, company compliance and property management — delivered by one continuous advisory team.
Most of our clients continue using our company, tax and property services after the visa is granted. That's not a coincidence — we work hard to set the right expectations from day one and avoid promises we can't keep.
